The company was presented with a Commendation Award from Action for Market Towns at the AGM of the South East Regional Towns Partnership (SERTP), held at Denbies on 1st July 2011. The award recognises the contribution made by the Business Support Project initiatives, taken with funds granted by SEEDA. LAP Director John Howarth was the Project Leader.
In 2009-10 a series of five seminars for start-up and small businesses were organised in association with Business Link. They were well attended and exceeded the SEEDA contract requirements with regard to opportunities for general business learning, ICT training and specialist advice. In parallel, financial support was given to the Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce for two “Focus on Growth” conferences at a time when general business confidence was low. This was followed by joining in the sponsorship with other companies of the first Leatherhead & District Business Awards, now in their second successful year. The awards were launched by PR company Prowse and Company and the Leatherhead & District Chamber of Commerce to recognise excellence in a variety of business categories as seen and voted for by customers and members of the public.
Director Colin Langley accepted the award certificate on behalf of the company.
